BRIM Educator Training is a web-based learning platform designed to help teachers, administrators, and school staff recognize, prevent, and manage bullying behaviors in
educational environments. The platform delivers a structured, one-time training experience with quizzes, certification, and flexible purchasing options for both individual educators and school districts.
Built on WordPress with WooCommerce and an integrated LMS, the platform provides a clean, intuitive learning experience while maintaining full brand consistency with BRIM’s primary website.

Project Goal

The primary goal of this project was to create a minimum viable training platform that could be launched quickly, remain easy to manage internally, and scale later if needed.
Key objectives included:

  1. Delivering a structured online course with quizzes and certification
  2. Supporting two purchase paths: individual teachers and school districts
  3. Maintaining strong visual and brand alignment with the existing BRIM website
  4. Avoiding expensive enterprise LMS subscriptions by using a practical, entry-level solution

The focus was on clarity, reliability, and ease of use rather than overengineering.

Target Audience

The platform was designed for:

  1. Individual educators purchasing training with personal funds
  2. School districts and administrators requesting quotes for staff-wide access
  3. Teachers, counselors, and education professionals seeking required or supplemental professional development

Because many users are not highly technical, the interface needed to be straightforward, distraction-free, and accessible on all devices.

Project Challenges

One of the biggest challenges was balancing simplicity with credibility.
The client needed:

  1.  professional LMS experience without enterprise-level complexity or cost
  2. A system that worked for both individual purchases and district-level inquiries
  3. A layout that felt like a natural extension of the main BRIM website, not a disconnected product

Additionally, the course included multiple modules, quizzes, and a final assessment, all of which needed to be easy for the client to manage internally without ongoing developer involvement.

Solution & Implementation

To meet these goals, the platform was built using:

  1. WordPress + WooCommerce for flexibility and ownership
  2. Sensei LMS for course delivery, quizzes, and certification
  3. A custom layout styled to closely match the existing BRIM website

Key features implemented:

  1. One complete training course with modules, quizzes, and a final exam
  2. Automated certificate of completion
  3. “Pay Now” checkout flow for individual teachers
  4. “Request a Quote” form for school districts, routed directly to the client’s team
  5. SEO-ready structure with clean URLs, headings, and metadata
  6. Mobile-first, responsive design

The result was a streamlined platform that met all functional requirements while remaining future-ready for expansion.

Results & Impact

The final platform gave BRIM a fully functional educator training system that:

  1. Can be launched and used immediately without complex onboarding
  2. Provides a clear, professional learning experience for educators
  3. Supports revenue from individual purchases while enabling district sales conversations
  4. Aligns visually and technically with the existing BRIM ecosystem

Most importantly, the client now owns the platform outright, with no recurring SaaS LMS fees, and can expand the system later with additional courses or integrations.
